Nava Air Facility El Centro will host a Change of Command ceremony Thursday.

During th ceremony, Captain Ryan Carstens will officially relieve Captain Michael Lee as commanding officer of the installation. Captain Lee has served as commanding officer of NAF El Centro since May of 2022. Under his leadership, the base remained at the forefront of operation training andd was recognized as " The Pearl of the Desert" for it's unwavering commitment to mission success. Captain Lee will also begin his retirement.

Captain Carstens said, " I am very excited to take over the reins of one of the most prestigious bases in the Navy. Additionally, I have the distinct pleasure of being here and celebrating the Navy's 250th Birthday." 

The ceremony will take place Thursday inside Hanger 4 at 10:00 a.m.
