U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers stopped a mixed load of four types of drugs.
On February 18, CBP officers encountered a 20-year-old man driving a car at the downtown Calexico Port of Entry. The vehicle and driver were referred to secondary inspection where the car was screened using non-invasive technology. A CBP K-9 team conducted an inspection and alerted to the presence of drugs. Officers were able to locate 36 packages hidden in the car's floor. Four packages tested positive for fentanyl, 3 for cocaine, 2 for heroin, and 27 for methamphetamine. The driver was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
