(Border Patrol seizes Methamphetamine)....It happened late last week.

Border Patrol Agents from the Campo Station stopped a truck on Interstate 8. After a brief interview with the driver, a Border Patrol K-9 was called in. The K-9 alerted to the interior of the truck. Agents searched the vehicle and found an after market compartment within the bed of the truck. Inside the compartment were 34 foil wrapped packages. The packages weighed just over 198 pounds and tested positive for methamphetamine. The street value of the meth was estimated at around $436,000. The driver and the narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration. The truck was seized by the Border Patrol
