A woman was fatally injured in a Wednesday night accident.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the 35-year-old woman from Brawley, was southbound on Forrester Road north of Thompson Road at about 10:30 p.m., when the car ran off the road, up a dirt embankment, and rolled over, ejecting the woman. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
