(Border Patrol arrests a man wanted by INTERPOL)....It happened earlier this month near Dulzura.
A Border Patrol agent was patrolling north of the international border. He stopped a suspicious SUV on Highway 94 and conducted an immigration inspection. The agent discovered two passengers in the vehicle were in the U.S. illegally. The driver and passengers were transported to a nearby Border Patrol Station. At the station a records check determined the driver of the SUV was a citizen of Spain. It further revealed he was wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization, or Interpol, and he was also in the U.S. illegally. It was further discovered the man was the subject of an INTERPOL Red Notice. That is a request for police worldwide to locate and arrest the 44-year-old suspect. Due to the Red Notice, he was being sought by the US Marshalls and Immigration and Customs enforcement. The driver and the two passengers were processed, and INTERPOL was notified.
