(The El Centro City Council will discuss their vacancy)....The Council is meeting tonight.

They are expected to discuss filling the vacancy left by the recent resignation of Tomas Oliva. Oliva was serving as the Mayor when he decided to resign from the council. The City Council has options as to how they want to fill the vacancy. They can appoint a replacement or they can hold an election to fill the vacancy. The issue is expected to be discussed at this evenings Council meeting. The El Centro City Council will meet at the City Council Chambers at City Hall. The Council is expected to convene the meeting at 6 pm.
