(Brandon Hamlin was charged in the Murder of a Brawley Couple and robbing them).....The 25-year-old was arrested in April 2023 in the murder and robbery of 78-year-old Elia Castro and 84-year-old Rigoberto Castro.

At a recent Readiness Hearing, Hamlin entered a plea of No Contest to the charges of premeditated murder and robbery. By entering the No Contest Plea, Hamlin avoids trial and could be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. His sentencing will be held on May 12th.
