(Truck Tire fire).....It was reported at 6 pm Wednesday. It was on Interstate 8, west of Gordons Well.

That fire disrupted traffic on the Interstate all night. The fire forced the rig to stop in the #1 lane. It was no time until the fire spread to the entire big rig. The California Highway Patrol conducted traffic breaks until County Fire arrived. The fire became intense, spreading to vegetation at the side of the road. A separate collision in the area forced a hard closure of the Interstate. No injuries were reported from any of the incidents. The lanes were finally cleared and opened to traffic at 8:21 Thursday morning.
