(The suspect in the recent fatal hit and run)....He has been arrested.

Calexico Police say the attorney's for the trucking company the suspect worked for had contacted them. The attorney 'informed the police that the suspect was a resident of Mexicali and he would turn himself in. A meeting was set up for the following day. The 49-year-old suspect turned himself in and answered the Police questions before being placed under arrest. Last Thursday the rig being driven by the suspect was headed for Los Angeles when the 29-year-old victim was hit and killed by the big rig. The incident occurred near Jaspar Road and Highway 111. The suspect was booked into County Jail charged with Felony Hit and Run, causing the death of another person. No names have been released by officials.
