The Imperial Valley law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony is Friday.
The ceremony will be held at the Imperial County Courthouse on Main Street in El Centro. The event is a tribute to the 49 law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty in the Imperial Valley. There will be a motorcade procession assembling in front of the Courthouse at 6:45 p.m. The ceremony starts promptly at 7. There will be guest speakers followed by the reading of the names of each of the 49 officers, a 21-gun salute, a flag folding ceremony, taps, Amazing Grace, and a moment of silence with glowsticks representing a candlelight vigil. The public is encouraged to attend.
